Now, in case you’ve been living under a slab feature for the past few years, and the name Jack Moir hasn’t registered, let us enlighten you. A YT MOB Enduro Team member for 2023, “Shark Attack” Jack is an all-out Aussie brawler on the trails. From crushing the UCI downhill scene, he went full-send into the Enduro World Series circuit and didn’t hang about, becoming the EWS Series Champ in 2021. This trail-slaying renegade isn’t camera shy either, just check out Moi Moi TV if you don’t believe us!
As the YT MOBster enjoys some training, recovery and relaxation after the adrenaline-fuelled EDR kick-off in Maydena and Derby, we snatched up Jack Moir’s 5 top tips for Enduro Racing:
“Make sure you come into an enduro with the correct preparation. It’s a massive day on the bike, so if you haven’t been training properly, it’s going to be deadly.“
If you think you could do with some help getting race-fit, then check out Fit4Racing’s Indoor Training Plan.
“Make sure you eat and drink enough! Even though you might not feel like it, it’s super important to keep your energy levels up throughout the whole day.”
“It’s a good idea to run a GoPro in practice so you can rewatch the stages before racing. You will never be able to remember everything on a stage, but it helps with key sections.”
“Make sure your bike is set up well for the type of trails you’re racing. If you’re doing big long 15-minute stages, it’s important to be super comfortable, and you’ll be able to hang on the whole time.”
