Whether you’re heading off on a mountain bike holiday or sending your bike into the YT Mill for some TLC, it’s important to pack your bike up properly and securely to avoid damage in transport – afterall, your bike is your pride and joy, right?!
The YT Workshop has a helpful video guide showing you how to re-box your YT mountain bike using its original packaging. Check out the tutorial below to get started.
In addition to the packaging you had stored away from when you unboxed your YT bike for the first time, you’ll need a couple of cable ties or tape to secure smaller parts together. If you find that you’ve misplaced some of the packaging, or perhaps it got too damaged in the frantic excitment of unboxing your bike, you’ll need to source some additional pieces. Things like bubble wrap, foam padding and cardboard are really useful for protecting your bike.
Once everything is packed away within the bike box, secure the opening with tape while checking the box for any holes or tears. With everything packed for transport, you’re ready to send your YT bike off to its final destination.
