The YT MOB Returns

2023/01/31

In 2021, we closed doors on what you knew as The YT Mob, a successful race program that ultimately put YT Industries on the map. There were endless Good Times, from taking the victory at our first World Cup to winning multiple overalls.

Our passion for racing never stopped; it’s deep within our DNA, but it was time for a break, to re-think, rebuild and come back stronger than ever.

MOB, noun; A disorderly group of like-minded individuals intent on riotous behaviour.

“Thrilled by the return of The YT MOB! We used the pause to develop a unique setup and build a proper MOB. We’re committed to our athlete’s performance and giving them the support and freedom they need to win at the highest level.”

For YT, 2023 marks a new chapter, a shift in focus. All YT athletes and ambassadors across all disciplines will be flying the flag for the YT MOB. From freeride to slopestyle and enduro to downhill, this diverse approach will see YT drive progression across all reaches.

We’re also adding a new discipline to The YT Mob… Enduro. There are no half-measures; we’ve got our eyes set on the podium with three heavy hitters: Jack Moir, Christian Textor, and Kasper Woolley. This crew knows a thing or two about putting together a winning run and will bring their wealth of experience to the track under the YT MOB banner.

“I love what YT has built. They’re not like other brands; they remind me of what mountain biking is all about… Good Times! They’ve created an enduro program that offers the team all the support we need from every possible angle. We even have the freedom to choose our components, so we can use whatever parts we feel maximize our potential!” – Jack Moir.

“I’m incredibly pumped to re-define the MOB and bring it to the next level. Since we founded the YT MOB in 2016, it was always our goal to run not only our DH program under this umbrella but all of our riders from all disciplines. The whole family! How a real mob should be.
Returning to racing at the highest level means a lot to me, and I can’t wait until the season starts. It’s our chance once again to prove that our bikes are not only made for hitting big freeride stuff but also capable to win the most important races.
But what flashes me most is that we incorporated our UNCAGED philosophy into The YT MOB by allowing our riders to choose their components. So riders can spec their bike based on performance and are not forced to run stuff just because of the sponsorship; nothing that holds them back from performing their best. I’m super proud that we’re the only brand who is able to give this advantage to their riders.”

– Markus Flossman, Founder & CVO of YT Industries
